Our history
Over three decades of barbering education
Profile Institute of Barber-Styling opened June 5, 1989, after becoming licensed by the Georgia State Board of Barbers. It was in continuous operation under its founder, owner and director, Curtis McGee, and has graduated students from communities throughout Georgia and several bordering states. Many graduates have opened their own successful barber businesses.
The Institution is a community-based training facility and has been in the same location since its creation. On November 1, 2017, Michael and Phyllis Childs became the new owners. Profile Institute of Barber-Styling continues to be committed to its students and the Atlanta community.
Mission
Why we teach
The Institution’s mission is to provide a quality education to students who want to become successful barbers or students who want to enter the education field as a barber instructor.

What we deliver
The Institution’s objective is to educate and equip individuals to successfully pass theoretical and practical examinations required by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers and become licensed practitioners.
